| | | Hello there, im new on this site, and have been visiting abandoned buildings and haunted places for 7 years now. My question is, does anyone know of any interesting, maybe even haunted buildings in Victoria? Im going to stay in a haunted room at a hotel their for a few days over haloween weekend. There is going to be 4 of us girls and are looking for a spooky adventure. Id also like to say that I really enjoy reading everything on your website!! I spent probably 3 hours the other night reading about Under The Garden City: Victoria's Secret Underground Tunnels. My mom works for BC Assessment and is trying to dig up some info...I will be glad to share anything interesting. Faydra

| | | Tod House. Its not haunted any more... not since Col. Evans removed the remains from the quicklime, but it is still cursed. A little known fact is that there is a secret room inside. The Golf Course on Beach Drive is a well known ghost spot. The bride fell to her death on the rocks and her spirit still wanders the course to this day. Even some of the groundskeeping staff are wary of the areas where she is sighted. Ross Bay goes without saying, The coffee shop on Douglas/Johnson is built on the city's first graveyard. Michelle's old house on Newton is meant to be a bad place. Microwave Hill is totally haunted. Myself and others have seen some odd things up there. Burial Cairns abound.

| | | Oh and lets not forget the stuff that goes on in the Sooke Hills on certain special dates... The Jack the Ripper style killing that occurred on the old E&N trestle. The ghost still wanders the hotel built at Songhees. Joan's ghost is meant to wander Craigdarroch. And who could forget the Murder House. [last edit 10/7/2009 11:10 PM by Ferrum - edited 1 times]

I saw her at the Bent mast, where all the other..(some living, but mostly closer to death), pseudo-bohemians like to hang out. [last edit 11/3/2009 10:13 AM by SteamPunk - edited 1 times]
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too! |

| | | There was a prostitute that killed her pimp in the Astoria hotel (I think its the astoria....) on Johnson Street in the 1880s. He attacked her, she slashed his throat with a straight razor in self-defense. He ran down the stairs with his head half off, and died on the sidewalk. Both of their ghosts are said to haunt the building, which is now offices.

| | | i read this story in a readers digest at the doctors office.. so apparently a while ago a mother went nuts and sedated her children and herdelf and set them on fire after she had doused them in gasoline then killed herself, and one child lived and lived, and readers digest described this place as an area outside of langford by goldstream park (possibly), has anyone ever heard this before? oh and what about sooke hills at night
