Yes people , it's THAT time of year again , when we all congregate underground , drinking , partying and taking over the cities wonderful abandonments for an entire weekend ! This year is no different . November 14-16 , fri-sun ... It takes place in a underground limestone quarry that's been abandoned for over 50 years . Half flooded , it features a sunken convertible for your observational enjoyment ! 50+ acres of underground abandoned fun ....
During the day there will be expeditions to abandonments around the city , something for everyone's likes . Drains , rooftops , plus abandoned things large and small.
For the newbs , this takes place in one of kansas city's most laid back environments. Come out and make yourselves known !
Same antics as years past , a bonfire , fireworks , drinking , and all around good times to be had by all!!!
OG's know the location, if you need directions on location / parking / things to bring , ask ....
Some notes ......
Check your bullshit at the entrance . This is a drama /theft free environment. Anyone bringing bullshit will be asked to leave , anyone caught taking things will be beaten/sodimized and asked to leave
As much as we love to see new faces , please don't bring your entire neighborhood - explorers only !!
BRING A FLASHLIGHT , AND A BACKUP , AND A BACKUPS BACKUP . It is pitch black inside , your cell phone won't work (as an aside , you also won't have signal, we are 60 feet below ground )
It's cold , 60ish degrees , so if planning on staying all night , dress appropriately , and bring a sleeping bag . The ground is hard , damp and cold .
Bring a chair , there's only limited seating !!!
Bring your own food/booze !! This ain't the Salvation Army ...
Help us help you , grab a bundle of firewood from the gas station , or drag in some decent DRY logs from outside , we all like fire , and it benefits everyone .
